World Governments Summit 2026 draws over 6,000 participants to Dubai

The 2026 edition of the World Governments Summit took place in Dubai from February 3 to 5, gathering more than 6,000 participants including over 30 heads of state and government, more than 80 international and regional organizations, and around 140 government delegations, according to organizers. The annual forum, held under the theme of shaping future governments, focuses on government innovation and policy exchange rather than a single negotiated outcome.

The summit’s chairman said the event’s previous edition had strengthened governmental partnerships and contributed to shaping government strategies and policies across participating countries, with the 2026 edition publishing dozens of strategic reports produced in partnership with international knowledge organizations. The World Governments Summit has run annually in Dubai since its founding, positioning itself as a recurring venue for government officials, private sector representatives and academics to discuss global governance trends.
