Richard Branson’s restaurant Ninety Acres sits on (you guessed it) 90 acres of land in Somerset County, New Jersey, about 45 miles outside of NYC.
The kitchen sources much of its locavore foods from the on-site farm. In fact, the restaurant strives to have at least 80% of the food it serves be from local sources. Branson even dreams of one day having a farmers market on the front of the estate for locals to come and get their own fresh produce.
Ninety Acres is just the first step in a grand plan to develop the Natirar estate. Branson hopes to build a cooking school, bar, fully operating farm, media room, tennis courts, pool and 76 bed luxury resort/spa all on the same property as the restaurant.
