In 2000, Martha Stewart bought a 153 acre property in Bedford, NY. In addition to the main house, the summer house and the tenants house, Stewart has chickens, bees, cows, an expansive vegetable garden, fruit trees, a stable and plenty of berries to fill her many freshly baked pies. 45,000 daffodil bulbs are planted next to the rock wall that surrounds the property and over 1,300 new trees have been planted since she moved in.
In 2007, Stewart’s farm was designated a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. It’s also the place she stayed during her five months of house arrest after her incarceration.
